Dorsey says BTC will become the world’s only currency in 10 years

It’s always good to read when someone whose is followed by millions of people states that he believes in Bitcoin. When people hear that CEO’s and founders of global companies and top brands make a stand for Bitcoin or other coins, their faith in crypto-currencies convince masses all over the world.

As we all know Bitcoin has evolved into a globally traded asset in less than a decade, with its value climbing from less than $1,000 at the beginning of last year to a year-end record over $19,000. But we also know that the first three months of 2018 have been quite adventurous, and not in a positive sense, in the crypto world. Many Bitcoin and other crypto investors have lost their faith in crypto-currencies.

Twitter and Square CEO Jack Dorsey has not lost his faith, what’s more, he is very confident in his Bitcoin investments. As we can read it in an interview with The Times, he predicts that Bitcoin would become the only surviving currency in a matter of years.

Dorsey acknowledges that Bitcoin “does not have the capabilities right now to become an effective currency.” He says “It’s slow and it’s costly, but as more and more people have it, those things go away.”

But he vocalizes his trust in the number one coin: “The world ultimately will have a single currency /…/ I personally believe that it will be Bitcoin… probably over ten years, but it could go faster.”

Dorsey’s recent moves have confirmed what he is saying. He is becoming increasingly involved in the crypto business. On February 1st, we reported that Dorsey’s other company, Square released its update and their mobile payments app Cash began offering Bitcoin buying and selling options in most U.S. States. In addition, Dorsey is also taking an active part a Lightning Labs start-up project that aims to make Bitcoin transactions more efficient.

Crypto market analyists are also becoming more optimistic, they say, encouraging those who are doubtful or waiting to invest, that a new market cycle is about to begin.
